From planning everything for the wedding to coordinating with all the vendors, the life of a bride-to-be is anything but relaxing. But there’s a special day that awaits you. A day meant just to celebrate you and this new journey that you are about to start with the love of your life. A bridal shower is one of the most anticipated moments for any bride-to-be. With all your closest girlfriends and family members coming together to shower their love and blessings on you, this is the one day you can take to let your hair down in the middle of all that wedding planning.
While this is usually one of the first events to kick off your celebration, we want us to help you out with how you can make the most out of your bridal shower.
It might be slightly cliché, but making head turns with the drama of a grand entrance is unmatched. And what better way to make an entrance than walking in hand-in-hand with your fiancé. Even though traditionally, the groom-to-be is expected to arrive at the bridal shower at the very end, if you are one of those brides who are not afraid to make their own traditions, you could arrive to your shower with your fiancé.
You are the bride-to-be, so that gives you the right to basically make your own rules! For your entrance to have an impact, you could try arriving a few minutes later than the guests. Of course, keep this time difference short as there’s a difference between arriving fashionably late and being so late that it appears rude and you miss out on visiting with family and friends. Reaching anywhere between 10 to 15 minutes late will do the trick, while also giving your guests enough time with you.
You deserve a break from all that extensive planning you have been doing for the big day, so take this time to treat yourself! While your friends and family are going to be there to make you feel loved and special, you could also pamper yourself by getting your hair and makeup done. It is your day to shine! Be it a spa treatment or getting your nails done – take out time to do what puts you in a good mood.
While you are the star of the day, your family and friends deserve some of your attention too! They are all there to see you, and you have probably been too busy with the planning/life to spend time with your people. So get ready to update them with everything that’s going on in your life. Tell them about the wedding planning process, any funny stories you have to share from that, your fiancé, or anything else that will make them feel more connected to you. And as you connect with them, remember to pose for some photographs!
Just like your wedding day, the bridal shower also deserves to be documented. A new outfit, games, and gifts – a bridal shower has it all. You will not want a day like this to go by un-photographed! Hiring a photographer will ensure that you get to cherish the memories from this day for years to come. This way, you can just spend time having a blast with your friends and family and even have pictures to look back on at this time.
The Mansion at Mountain Lakes is located in Mountain Lakes, New Jersey. A perfect blend of chic and classic architectural styles, this venue is a beautiful and elegant space, perfect for both big and small celebrations. With plenty of natural light coming in through the windows and beautiful indoor lighting, I can’t imagine a better venue for Vicki’s bridal shower. The photos came out so stunning and natural. Towards the end, Anthony, Vicki’s fiancé, also joined us and added to the fun.
Thank you Vicki for allowing me to capture your beautiful bridal shower!
